Guidelines for Styling Hair at Home for Your Family

On an average one spends around $10 to $20 in a month for haircuts. Haircuts are none the less the basic fact of our lives. Even trimming your hair might cost y

Starting with a professional hairdo is a good option. You can then trim them regularly every few weeks. If you are blessed with good thick hair, you can visit a hairstylist in about once in 6months for a neater look.

Make it a practice to measure your hair length once you are back from the stylist each time. Rest a ruler on the scalp and measure from the hair length end to end. Keep the note of your measurement in a place you don’t forget. Make sure you also keep a note of the length from behind your neck and also above your ears.

Get the note out when you are sitting to trim your own hair; when you first got it cut measure the same length on a toothed comb that has fine edges. This will help you to keep your hair look neat and also trim it back to the same length.

Use professional scissors to cut your hair that is sharp. This shall keep you away from split ends and also no pulling of hair will cause pain. Make sure you keep in mind that dry hair is shorter and when made wet the hair is longer in length, so will be good if you add around a quarter or half inches to the length specified in the note, though this would vary with the growth of your hair.

Pull your hair straight up and begin at the crown, measuring the length by using the comb and snip the comb a little beyond the measurement. Follow the same procedure and try moving around the head crown. While using the same measurements of the part that you are working on slowly move to the side of your head.

Check for missing hair while you dry your hair as you always do, if the length is too short or long, trim them in the same length.

For curly hair we recommend that you the hair when it is pulled and stands straight and also when you cut it. Remember it is normal that your hair grows more on the side, so make sure you take the same amount of hair from both the sides.

If your hair is cut in right lengths from your eyes, mouth, face and even your ears you have achieved the perfect hairdo. Don’t measure from your shoulders because all faces are not symmetrical.

Good advice. I am not much for fixing my hair. Hence, hats.

Namaste.
